Chicco has become a household name due to their world-renowned strollers and infant car seats. It comes as no surprise that they have designed, arguably, the best car seat stroller combo, the chicco bravo trio travel system. Considering the Bravo Trio’s marvelous design and impressive features, it is really cost-efficient.

The buggy is equipped with an all-wheel suspension system that soaks in the bumps. Your child will love it for its almost-flat recline that is ideal for naps. For the parents, there is the adjustable handlebar, the sizeable basket, and a parent organizer.

The major part of the travel system is the renowned Chicco KeyFit 30 infant car seat. Many experts praise it for the safety it provides. It can be attached to the regular seat, or directly to the stroller frame.

  • Stroller weight – 23 lbs

  • Car seat weight – 9.5 lbs

  • Stroller weight limit  – 50 lbs

  • Car seat weight limit  – 30 lbs

  • Folded dimensions  – 16″ x 22″ x 28″

  • Handlebar height  – Adjustable, 38″ – 42″

  • Seat to canopy height  – 24″

  • Wheels  – front – 7″; rear – 9″

  • Compact Fold

The Bravo has a compact fold, while most of similar strollers are quite bulky. It folds in half, requires only one hand and stands on its own. Being a somewhat light infant car seat stroller combo, it is very easy to load it into the trunk.

  • Infant car seat

Aside from the marvelous Chicco KeyFit 30, the stroller also comes with a car seat adapter and a base for the backseat. As mentioned, you can either attach the infant travel seat to the regular one, or attach it directly to the stroller frame. There is an advantage to using it with the regular one because the canopy provides even more shade.

One advantage of using it with just the car seat is that the basket is even easier to access because the regular seat won’t be in your way. The stroller will also be lighter, which is another advantage.

  • Regular seat

Being thirteen inches wide with a nineteen-inch seat back, it is safe to say the regular seat is quite spacious. The recline features three positions, including the near-flat one that is ideal for naps, and it takes only one hand to operate thanks to the neat lever (no straps!). When using it without the infant car seat, it can accommodate a child that’s at least six months old and that weights up to fifty pounds.

The buggy is equipped with a five-point safety harness that has a center release buckle. The waist straps are connected to the shoulder straps, making it easier to use than most other, similar harnesses.

  • Storage space

The under-seat storage basket is quite sizeable and can easily fit a large diaper bag coupled with a few other items. It is also very easy to access from the back. But what most parents really love is the parent organizer the stroller comes with.

The fact that more expensive brands don’t include them is puzzling because all parents have a lot of stuff on them and are always in desperate need of storage. This particular parent organizer has two cup holders and a place for your phone and keys.

  • Canopy

Yet another big feature on this stroller. The sizeable canopy is comprised of three panels, and one of them has a neat mesh peekaboo window. Even though it is missing a bumper bar, it provides sufficient sun coverage.

  • Handlebar

The handlebar is adjustable, which is always much appreciated by parents of different heights. It can be adjusted to three different positions, so you won’t have a problem finding the one that is most comfortable for you. The bar has a nice foam padding that is soft to the touch, but doesn’t appear to be quite durable.

  • Wheels, Suspension, and Maneuverability

It is best to use this model on flat surfaces, because of its plastic wheels, but some parents report it faring well on cobblestone too. Plastic is still plastic, so it is best not to venture off-road too often. But, what sets apart this model from most other travel systems is the excellent four-wheel suspension. It absorbs shocks, thus cushioning the ride for the little one. Usually, such a feature is reserved for heavy-duty or jogging strollers.

The brakes are foot operated and single-action. They are flip-flop friendly and easy to use. The stroller frame is quite narrow, which allows the buggy to fit through narrow spaces.

What’s wrong with the product?

– Nosy recliner and noisy canopy

Not exactly a deal breaker, but it does become tiring after a while. Why some of the best strollers have features that can potentially wake up your baby is still a mystery. There haven’t been any serious complaints though, so the danger is still just potential.

– No child tray

Since it doesn’t have a bumper bar, the child tray should have been included as a basic feature. Instead, it is sold separately. The child tray is definitely worth the purchase as it can serve as an excellent safety feature for when your baby gets older, allowing you to forego buckling the five-point-harness.

The tray is neat for putting a sippy cup into and can be used instead of the adapter to attach the travel seat. Most owners find themselves ordering it sooner or later.

Chicco’s designers know well that, when you take your child out for a ride or stroll, you want them to be as safe as they can be. And there is no better way of taking care of their safety than by combining a high-end stroller with an award-winning seat.

The Chicco Bravo trio might lack some conveniences, but its safety features possibly make it the best travel system stroller.
