Every parent cares about the safety of his child, especially those who travel a lot. When your infant is in the vehicle, the risk of an injury is increased due to the possibility of a car crash. Fortunately, there’s a solution – one only has to purchase a quality car seat and have a near-complete peace of mind while driving together with a baby.
We’ll be taking a closer look at one such product, called the Evenflo LiteMax 35, which comes with some handy features and certainly makes a tempting offer. Let’s have a look!

Features of Evenflo LiteMax 35
-
The Design
Just like all other car seats manufactured by Evenflo, this one also sports an impeccable design. It can be purchased in a few color variants – we had the “Moon Shadow” (gray and black) version on the test, and it looked very attractive. It was pretty obvious that each part of this model was made with care and attention to detail, and we expected nothing less from this company.
The LiteMax 35 is an extremely lightweight car seat, which, when combined with its ergonomic handle, makes it highly portable – transporting your little one is a piece of cake with this seat.
-
The Comfort
As far as we could tell, the LiteMax 35 is a very comfortable infant car seat. It comes with a seat pad and a body pillow; both of which are full of cushioning and feel very pleasant to the touch. Both of these things have been manufactured out of temperature-regulating fabric, which will come in very handy during the hot days. Fortunately, these elements are also fully removable, so you can easily wash them in your washing machine.
Babies make a mess and there’s no going around that – which is precisely why we always consider the presence of machine-washable pads and pillows a big plus in our book.
-
The Safety
The harness adjustment is located in the front part of LiteMax 35, and we were pleased to find that the company has added pockets that will keep the buckles away when your baby is in the seat. Evenflo has managed to design this model with multiple harness and crotch positions, and has even included an infant insert that will let you use the seat with babies as small as 4lbs.
The level indicator features two different settings – one is for infants weighing 4-20lbs, and the other for those over 20lbs. We also liked the presence of the 4-position up-front recline, which ensures maximum comfort for the baby and makes the installation a little bit easier.
The fact that this is quite a large model makes it almost unusable in smaller vehicles. The fact that it comes with plenty of different combinations of crotch & harness straps and recline positions can make using it a little bit confusing, but have no worries – you’ll figure it out eventually.

FAA Approval & Manual Storage
This infant car seat (but not its base) bears the FAA Approval – the red sticker with the notice can be found near the handle. This will allow you to use the model on the airplanes. The storage spot for the manual is located at the bottom of the product so that the instructions can always be at hand.
Ease of Installation
-
With the Base – Seat Belt
This model comes with a one-step belt lock off which makes the process of installation quite convenient. You’ll have to press down on the lock off to open it, and then route your car’s belt through the path. Once you’ve done that, you can close the lock off, and then make sure that there’s less than one inch of movement front to back and side to side. Also, don’t forget to make the tab securely latched.
-
With the Base – Lower Anchors
In this case, you’ll have to open the lock off and attach the lower anchor connectors to your car’s lower anchor, and then just tighten the belt. After this, route all of your unused belts so that they stay inside the lock off and close it. Pull the red tabs when you want to remove the seat.
-
Without the Base
To install this seat without the base, you’ll have to thread the belt through the appropriate path, buckle it, and then just pull the lap part of it. Make sure that the carrier isn’t moving more than one inch at the belt path. This seat has a deep shell, so the belt won’t touch the infant’s legs when you install the seat without its base.
Conclusion
In our opinion, this is yet another quality model from Evenflo – it’s a lightweight, safe, and easy-to-clean infant car seat that’s bound to become very popular in the coming months. We liked its useful features and can do nothing else than recommend it for purchase – you won’t regret it!
